The global pharmaceutical manufacturing market size was at USD 324-42 bn $ in 2019 which is expected to grow at a rate of 13.74 % from 2020 to 2027. India ranks 3rd for worldwide pharmaceutical production by volume and14th by value. The country has a network of 3000 drug companies and 10,500 manufacturing units. The availability of highly qualified human resources at cheaper rate than Europe and other western nations has developed India a production hub of harmaceuticals. Pharmaceuticals Giants worldwide are opening their manufacturing units in India. Thus, India has truly become the “Pharmacy of the world”.
